Have you ever heard someone say, “I don’t use Facebook or online banking, so I’m safe when it comes to the Internet.” Just because you don’t use your Facebook login to access other accounts, doesn’t mean you are immune from possible data loss or leakage. If you work or have health insurance, it’s likely that somewhere out there in the great wide open called the Internet, there’s data – your data – stored for future reference. 


Today’s Tip: Take stock of your digital footprint so you are ready for October and TheCyberChair’s tips. How do you use the Internet? Do you use social media? What accounts do you have? When was the last time you accessed them? Where do you store your passwords? Do you use two-factor authentication? Who else stores information about you electronically?
